On Friday, August 14, golfers, sponsors, and community partners will gather at RedTail Landing Golf Club for the 2026 YEG Charity Golf Classic, an annual tournament supporting organizations making a meaningful difference across the Edmonton region.

Veterans’ House Canada is honoured to be one of this year’s featured charitable beneficiaries, alongside other local organizations working to strengthen the community. Proceeds raised through the tournament will help advance Veterans’ House Edmonton, our future permanent, affordable and supportive housing community for veterans experiencing homelessness. 

Located in Edmonton’s Athlone neighbourhood, Veterans’ House Edmonton will provide 40 studio apartments and wraparound support designed to help veterans achieve long-term stability, independence and wellbeing. The project builds on the success of the Andy Carswell Building in Ottawa and will provide a lasting solution for veterans who have experienced homelessness.

The YEG Charity Golf Classic has been bringing the airport community together since 2011, raising more than $1.3 million for charitable causes across the region. In celebration of the tournament’s 15th anniversary, organizers will match donations made through the event up to $50,000, creating an even greater impact for participating charities.
