Leave a Lasting Legacy: Gift in Your Will
Veterans’ House Canada partners with Epilogue to offer an easy, secure online will service that helps donors leave lasting gifts to support homeless Veterans.

Many of us have received communications from charity organizations about legacy gifts.
That’s where you plan ahead to leave a bequest in your will for a charity that is meaningful to you.
At Veterans’ House Canada, we are going a step further. We have partnered with Epilogue, a company that specializes in preparing wills online. The process is easy, economical, secure and valid. It is also adaptable – you can make changes to your will at any time, for no additional cost.

You don’t even have to include VHC in your will. Should you choose to do so, we would be grateful, and honoured.
Your support has been taking homeless veterans off the street, and providing them with the assistance they may need – such as unique veteran-only housing, rent subsidies, counselling and peer support – to feel a valued part of their community.
In service, veterans understood there could be risks to their health and lives. They were prepared to make these sacrifices for their country. You can remember them, with a lasting and meaningful gift.
As Angella Rawsthorne, VHC Fund Development Manager, reflects on a legacy gift in 2025, “We are deeply honored and grateful to confirm the receipt of a generous legacy gift from the Estate of Mary. This incredible legacy profoundly supports our mission, enabling us to provide vital housing and services to Veterans in need.”
Anyone can leave a legacy gift. It can be large or small. It can be a specific amount of money, a percentage of funds after your other bequests have been distributed, or a particular item. In addition, you can indicate if there is something specific you would like us to do with your gift. We would welcome discussing this option with you in advance.
Your wishes matter. You will have VHC’s commitment to honour them and to spend your donation carefully. We pledge to maintain complete confidentiality should you wish to keep your decision private. We would be grateful to know about your intention to leave VHC a legacy gift, or if you have already arranged to do so. We would like to thank you properly for your thoughtfulness.
Planning for the future is important. It can help ensure your loved ones are supported and feel cherished. It can also help support a cause you deeply care about.
Thank you for your continued commitment.
