Edmonton, AB, October 7, 2025 — Veterans’ House Canada (“VHC”), a non-profit organization on a mission to provide permanent, affordable and supportive housing for homeless veterans, is excited to announce a $25,000 sponsorship from New Horizon Aircraft (Nasdaq: HOVR), doing business as Horizon Aircraft (“Horizon”), an advanced Canadian aerospace engineering company and developer of one of the world’s first hybrid electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The funds will directly support the build of VHC’s second veterans’ house near Edmonton, Alberta, with doors expected to open fall 2026.
Horizon Aircraft was founded in 2013 by father and son Brian and Brandon Robinson after conceptualizing an innovative, new type of aircraft inspired from their decades of aviation experience and service in the Royal Canadian Air Force.
Brian, now Horizon’s Chief Engineer, spent over 50 years owning, operating, modifying and maintaining a variety of aircraft inspired by his father’s devoted military service as a wartime pilot. Brandon, the Company’s CEO, served two decades as a CF-18 pilot after graduating from Canada’s Fighter Weapons Instructor Course.
Today, Brian and Brandon are leading Horizon’s world-class engineering team in developing a six-passenger, one pilot hybrid eVTOL, the Cavorite X7, projected to fly faster (450 km/h), farther (800 km), and carry more (1500 lbs) than other eVTOLS – ideal for military, medical evacuation, and disaster relief missions.
Drawing on their own lived experiences for the X7’s design, the father-son team understands how rapid response times, quiet flight, and an ability to take off and land in remote areas or in poor conditions not only improves operational efficiency, but it provides much greater support and safety for military troops.
“The Canadian Armed Forces plays such an important role to protect and preserve our peace and freedoms,” shared Brandon. “My father and I have such a deep respect for those actively serving and for our veterans, and it is heartbreaking to see so many people struggle after their service. We are truly honoured to donate these funds to help Edmonton-area veterans find some comfort and stability.”
Veterans’ House Canada is excited to have such an inspiring organization such as Horizon Aircraft sponsor our new building project.
This generous contribution from Horizon Aircraft will directly aid in the development of Veterans’ House Canada’s second supportive housing project in Edmonton, Alberta. The funding will help us ensure the new housing meets the unique needs of veterans transitioning out of homelessness. With doors expected to open in Winter 2026, this project represents a vital step toward expanding support into western Canada, our national impact and providing long-term stability for those who have served.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Horizon Aircraft for their support. This donation brings us closer to opening our new Edmonton building, offering homeless veterans a safe, dignified place to call home.” Angella Rawsthorne, VHC Fund Development Manager.
