About
Home For The Holidays
The true meaning of home is the enduring warmth of a safe place to call your own. Veteran’s House Canada’s Home for the Holidays initiative ensures that those who stood on guard for our country don’t have to sit out in the cold. Homeless Veterans deserve more than just a temporary winter shelter, they deserve permanent, affordable, supportive housing surrounded by others who understand their journey. Help ensure that the transition to civilian life is marked by the dignity, support, and pride our service members have earned.

FAQs
Veterans’ House Canada is a national non-profit organization dedicated to ending veteran homelessness by developing permanent, affordable, and permanent housing communities tailored to veterans’ unique needs. Residents live within a supportive community that includes support, counselling and mentoring that residents need to end their homelessness and re-enter the wider community.
By providing a unique, veteran-only setting, Veteran’s House Canada creates a place where former military peers can lean on one another. Here, they share the unspoken bonds of service while accessing the vital counseling and peer mentoring necessary to navigate the root causes of homelessness and begin healing.
True reintegration means addressing the complexities of life after service with compassion and comprehensive care. Veteran’s House Canada provides on-site employment programs to help residents rebuild their professional purpose and regain their independence. We also offer specialized support for mental health, addiction recovery, and the often-invisible challenges of the military-to-civilian transition.
Yes! When you give to Veterans’ House Canada you help a veteran find their footing in a stable environment. Instead of just trying to survive, they start to thrive. They begin confidently reconnecting with the wider community. Our Home for the Holidays campaign aims to replace isolation with a vibrant community. And honour their sacrifice by providing a lasting place where those who served Canada finally have a permanent place to anchor their lives.
